Arya Roshanian is a fiction and non-fiction writer. His reportage, essays, and criticism appear or are forthcoming in The New York Times, New York Review of Books, BOMB, 4Columns, PAPER, Gawker, and elsewhere. He was previously a staff writer at Bustle and Variety. Arya holds an MFA in Writing from Columbia University, where he was a finalist for the Henfield Prize, and a BA in Music from University of Southern California. He is currently a PhD candidate at Columbia and lives in Brooklyn.
